Does advice from the internet know you better than your family does?
The internet knows people in general. Your family knows what worked for people with the same roots: the same genes, kitchen and home. Here you gather it in one place everyone can draw on. A few minutes of playing together is enough.
- Knowledge stays in the familyrecipes, tips and stories in one place
- Easier to talkquestions from the game open up topics
- What works in your lineyour relatives' experience weighed by kinship
- You know what's newa Weekly from your loved ones' news every week
Grandma's answer gets lost in the scrolling. It sits on someone else's servers, between ads. In a month nobody will find it.
Organised, just for the family, for years. No ads and no strangers. It stays for the grandchildren, even those who never met their great-grandma.
We can see you worry about what matters to you. You want privacy and family conversations without outside noise.
Three steps
Start your family
Invite your family with a code. Grandma and Grandpa get a personal link and answer without installing anything.
Play whenever you have a moment
Everyone answers on their own phone, at their own pace.
Your family archive grows
Answers go into the biome. The family confirms what really works, while you build a shared homestead together and compete in the Family League.
Games for every generation
What worked for your genes before has the best chance of working again
The closer you are related, the more someone's experience tells you.
Family Biome weighs conclusions by kinship: Mum's experience counts more than great-grandma's, and your brother-in-law's family not at all.
Three issues, each for something different
Each issue answers a different question, so you never read the same thing twice. Free, in the app, to print or save as PDF.

More than a game
The biome: your family wiki
Recipes, home remedies, skills, traditions and stories in eight sections, with search. The family confirms entries, so you can see what really worked and for how many people.
Many families, one account
Dad's family, Mom's family and your partner's are separate families, each with its own game. Knowledge passes between them only along the bloodline, so nothing gets mixed up.
Family coat of arms
Design your own coat of arms: shield, colours, emblem and motto. It stands next to your family name in the league and on the homestead gate. The basic one is free.
The longer you play, the more stays with you
Every answer is a building block. After a week you have your first entries; after a year, a family archive. Your homestead grows along with it.
First entries
Home remedies and recipes in your family's own words. You already know who remembers what.
Tried and tested
The family confirms what works, and the first family edition arrives to browse and print. The homestead grows with every card you play.
Family archive
Recipes, tips and stories from the whole year, a tree of several generations and conclusions about what works in your line. What your homestead looks like by then, you'll discover yourselves.

You probably have a few doubts
You probably think your family won't find time for this.
It doesn't have to: two minutes, whenever someone has a moment, each on their own phone.
Maybe you fear the game will start running your time.
No: nothing is lost if you take a break, and at night and on Family Day the game rests.
Your memories stay in the family
Only your family
Only your family sees answers, recordings and the tree. In the league (only if the founder signs the family up), others see the family name, country (if chosen), homestead, coat of arms without the motto and points.

We're funded by subscriptions, not by selling data. We don't show ads.
We grow together with you
Family Biome is young and changes every week. We want it to truly keep what matters to your family, so we welcome every correction and suggestion: in the app (You → Tell us what you think) or by email.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to install anything?
No app store needed. Open the page and add it to your home screen with the “Install the app” button. It works like a regular app.
Is this medical advice?
No. The biome records your family's experiences. The app is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, prevent or alleviate any disease. For health matters, please consult a doctor.
Why does Mum's experience count more than great-grandma's?
Because you share half of your inheritance with your mum, a quarter with your grandma and an eighth with your great-grandma. Biologist Richard Dawkins described in “The Selfish Gene” that the closer the kinship, the more we have in common. That is why a remedy that worked for your mum counts more here than one from a distant cousin. If you are curious why, that book is a good place to start.
Are the insights a genetic test?
No. We only count how closely you are related based on the family tree and weigh relatives' experience accordingly. Nobody takes samples or genetic data.
How old do you have to be to play?
You must be 16 or older to create an account. Younger children play on a parent's phone, with the parent's permission.
Will Kinbiome stay with us for the long run?
That has been our plan from day one. A significant part of our revenue goes into developing and improving Kinbiome. We show no ads and we don't sell data. We grow together with you: feedback from the app (You → Tell us what you think) comes straight to us, and new ideas grow out of it. The family archive is meant to serve your grandchildren too, so we think of it in years.
How do I cancel Plus?
In the app: You → Family Plus → Manage subscription. Plus stays active until the end of the paid period. You can withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase.
Your family, your rules
You decide who joins, what you record and when you play. Family Biome only makes sure nothing gets lost. The first round takes two minutes.
